I believe littering at the beach is bad because the sea birds will eat the rubbish mistaking it for food. Everyone should put their rubbish in the rubbish bin. We should keep the beaches clean because you will get hurt if you step on sharp objects.

I think plastics bags should be banned because they will suffocate big and small fish when they get stuck over their head. People should  not get rid of their old fishing nets  in the sea because the turtles will get tangled in the discarded fishing nets. We should keep our beaches and waterways clean because swimming at a polluted beach will make you sick.

I suggest people should take care of the beaches and the waterways because God created it for all to enjoy.

Last Friday, our school field came alive as the whole school gathered for athletics day. The five years old raced first. Milana came first , Sione came second and Lili-Ann came third. Then it was the six years old turn. I ran as fast as a rollercoaster. I felt proud of myself because I came first. Then everyone cheered for me. Next we played a fast and exciting throwing ball game. It was a zizzling hot day. We enjoyed ourselves.

What does it mean to be a Pilgrim of Hope? Room 2 have been using their kind words, helping hands and smiles so they can become Pilgrims of Hope.

Room 2 went to the swimming pools today by bus. First the coach showed us how to get into the pool safely. Next we put our face into the water and blew big bubbles and small bubbles. Then the coach demonstrated how to float on our back. I had to push my tummy up, stretch out my arms and my legs. I was delighted because I  floated like a starfish. We really had a great time.

During the holidays my family and I went to America. We ate popcorn, ice-blocks and oranges on the plane. We went to an adventure park. We rode on the rocking horses. We explored the tunnels and climbed over the rocks. Mum bought me a parrot puppet. I have named him Lucas. Lucas is rainbow coloured. He can fly with my help. I had  a fun holiday.

During the weekend my friends and cousin and I went to my Aunties  house.  We played with play-dough. I made a pink and orange castle. After that my mum called us to come and eat pizza she had made. It was delicious with pepperoni and cheese on top. Later we went to the park for a swing.  We had a fabulous day.
